Aft Cabin
Insulation is going in! This is the forward section of what will eventually be the head in the aft cabin.
Shep and Blayde were the "Master Templaters" We would cut strips of Luan (very thin plywood), and then hot glue them into the spaces between the stringers to get the exact shape for cutting the foam.
Tamer (once again), had a moment of genius and made the 'Amazing Foam Cutter'. It was constructed like a bow saw with a piece of .030 stainless welding wire instead of a blade. A bungee cord was then attached to tension the wire. When hooked to a battery charger, which was connected to a lamp dimmer to control the current, the wire could be made to glow a dull red without burning through. 12 - 15 amps seemed to be the optimum current... Genius!!
